I love Midjourney.
I think it’s absolutely fantastic for making such a wide variety of images. And, since Midjourney 5 came on the scene, its hyperrealism has become… insane!

Now you can generate essentially stock-like images, on demand, for your blogs, website and even socials. But so many people can’t cause, they don’t know what to put in their prompts!
They still say things like 'It’s not there yet!' and 'yeah but, it still looks like AI!' I disagree. And, I can prove it to you, too.
Let me show you, how to level up your AI creations.
And, yes, everything you see here, is made in Midjourney.
1. Layout & Structure Of Your Midjourney Creation
Midjourney images don’t have to be square, you know.
Simply add these to the prompts to make 16:9 or 9:16 results.
1. Add this to your prompt for images to be portrait 👉 — ar 2:3
2. Add this to your prompt for images to be landscape 👉 — ar 3:2
2. Let’s Make It Sharp!
Simply add HD or 4K to your prompt for a sharper image. It won’t increase resolution, as such, but the clarity of it.
How does Midjourney work?
Midjourney scrapes millions of images and then compiles an image for you based on your prompt, and other things it sees.
Generally, HD or 4K images are sharper, so adding this to the prompt gives the effect of a sharper image.
To actually make it larger, simply use an image upscaler like this on here called, Upscale.media.
It’s a completely free tool, and you only need to pay when you need to do lots of images in bulk.
3. Vibrancy
Add ‘strong (color) tone’ to your prompt, for a strong leading color.
You can also insert the exact color of your brand etc, by just copying it like this 👉 ff002c.
To find the right colours for you, you can simply use Canva’s colour wheel tool online here. It’s free to use, and you can just copy the code.
This is the cherry red colour I used for the perfume bottle you see here.
4. Other Keywords To Include
I really find using the term, ‘cinematic’ very helpful in adding colour tones that don’t look so ‘AI’ like.
You can also ad ‘film effect’, or things like that for a vintage feel, but I prefer keeping the generated images as simple as possible.
It makes it a help of a lot easier to edit if there is issues.
It means you can add any effect in later, other than being stuck with just one.
5. How To Do Photorealism
For photorealism add ‘Canon photography,’ or Nikon or whatever you with, and if it’s with people in the shot, add ‘50mm camera lens’ or ‘50mm photography’ to the prompt.
Most high-quality images, or photoshoots of people, use a 50mm lens. As this gives the most, realistic or ‘normal to a human eye’, that you can get.
Mimicking this is Midjourney is great to lose that ‘AI’ look too!
6. Zoom & Move
Don’t be afraid to use the zoom and pan out. It makes it a hell of a lot easier to crop and adjust later.
Sometimes people don’t use it, as they worry about it using up credits but it is so worth it to add that extra bit.
Can completely change an image, and allow you a lot more wiggle room later, if you want to make it portrait or landscape.
So get creating…
